Web Design Portfolio
My experience with web design dates back to the late 90s, before the days of tableless CSS and RSS feeds. I have designed many sites over the years and am now incorporating newest
web standards in my site designs.
WoodCreeknc.org - A small, professional website designed for a neighborhood community homeowners association in North Carolina.
SanJoseBusinessAdvisor.com - a website designed for Mark Sheffield, CPA in San Jose, designed in August 2007. This design is entirely CSS. Designed from scratch with some help from Fireworks MX for images, backgrounds, and color sampling.
NathanSheffield.com - my personal website, designed in December 2006. This design is completely tableless and is valid HTML 4 transitional. The entire site is driven by valid CSS. This site was designed from scratch with some help from Fireworks MX for images, backgrounds, and color sampling.
LawFirmSites.com - I designed this site for my employer in 2006. This design presents a professional look specifically intended to optimize the pages for search engine indexing. A clean and clear design that presents a lot of information effectively without overwhelming the viewer.
GroupMonkey.com - a project from January 2006. This site design features a playful color scheme with large bright orange buttons to complement the "monkey" theme. It attemps to convey a professionally friendly style. The site is also valid CSS. Designed using Adobe Photoshop 7.
SheffieldSteelware.com - designed in September 2006, this CSS design is for a simple, professional online store. Soft colors, drop shadows, and clean edges contribute to the authority of the site. Site designed in Macromedia Fireworks MX.
Galatix - a space-themed design from 2005, this design features dark colors and high contrasts to acheive a specific look consistent with the galaxy style. This design was created in Adobe Photoshop 7.
Budgeboys - a personal site design (2005), this site utilizes a concise and succinct presentation and easy-to-use navigation system.
Apartment 206 - from September 2005, this small, clean design presents an example of a smaller website without many bells or whistles.
